“Children are not vessels to be filled but candles to be lit”

CHINMAYANANDA SARASWATI

Childhood is a time of wonder, awe, discovery and exploration. And the practice of yoga encompasses all of this. In this yoga deck of cards, children will begin to explore how their bodies move, breathe, bend, stretch, and balance.

There are poses to help release anger, to bring peace and calm, to feel strong, to increase energy, to self-soothe and to help relax. Children are given the opportunity to connect with nature, to feel what it’s like to be a tree, a cat, a dog, a snake, a bear, a flower, a bee, a shape, and so much more.

Created by Catherine Bales, with over 20 years of yoga teaching experience, and beautifully illustrated by Constanza Goeppinger, these cards make yoga accessible, engaging and fun for young kids.

Suitable for ages 3 and up, they are ideal for use at home, in classrooms, early learning settings and therapy environments, encouraging mindful movement, focus and confidence in a simple, playful way.

What People Are Saying

"The yoga helped the children learn how they could calm themselves with breathing; they improved their core strength and their flexibility and physical endurance and they were able to socialise with peers in a supported environment."

— Anne, Occupational Therapist

“We use the yoga cards before bed, and they’ve made such a difference. My 3-year-old loves choosing a few poses for us to do together, and even on the nights she’s full of energy, they seem to help her settle. Bedtime feels calmer — and a lot more enjoyable for both of us.”

— Tara, Mum

“Yoga makes me feel great after a busy day of school. It also helps me when I go home because I have a younger sister."

— Ella, 8 Years Old
